This product functions as per the manufacturer's claims. A must do for a potential purchaser is to watch the Drill Doctor's YouTube videos and a couple of others to get the proper technique basics first. For me, the videos reinforced the printed manual that was included.

Came the next day after order submitted. Read the directions and watch a few utubes and it works fantastic. Sharpened conventional bits as well as masonary. Watch out for one utube winkie as you are just watching someone else figure it out and he is not exceptionally brilliant.

Returned as I had a chance to try the product from a friend and it has a learning curve not as easy to use as stated it is not just set the degrees and insert and turn on to quickly sharpen

Seems to work ok the finish is a little rough have ordered 220 grit wheels to see if any better

For years i have been discarding drill bits as they get worn and blunt. Now with very little effort i am able to renew my bits in a matter of minutes. In my first attempt after viewing the DVD i was able to sharpen almost 30 drill bits of various sizes in under 30 minutes. The only negative is that it will not sharpen the smaller drill sizes that have the special rapid load hex shanks such as sold by Dewalt. The larger sized hex shank ie 1/4" and above which have shafts larger than the rapid load shank are no problem. But with std drill bits, absolutely no problems at all.
