HP 960 4k Webcam

The 960 is HP's top-end webcam, delivering film-quality video and audio. The aesthetically pleasing design packs a top-notch sensor and lens that wouldn't be out of place in most mobile phones. HP's Poly Lens software provides an additional set of features, including background effects and AI auto-framing. This webcam really is the complete package.

At the end of the day, this is a premium webcam for people who take their streaming (or their Zoom calls) seriously. It’s a bit strange that HP appears to have positioned the 960 as a powerful video conferencing camera, since its name - and the promotional images on the HP website - put it more as a device for streamers and artists. Despite this case of confused identity, though, the HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam is still a stellar product. If HP can iron out the kinks with the new Poly Lens desktop app, it could prove to be one of the best options out there for both office professionals and content creators.

Can be used only with really good lighting. Soft is bad, autofocus is missing somethings.

Hardware could be alright if the price was right, but clearly overpriced. Software is a joke, specially considering coming from a big company like HP. Very unclear and conflicting instructions regarding how to set it up since the Poly acquisition by HP which is now the main software for this camera. Took me hours to figure all that out and make it work on my Windows laptop, just to find out the advanced AI features wouldn't work on Mac. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO USE THIS CAMERA => YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THE POLY SOFTWARE, NOT THE ONE FROM HP MENTIONED IN THE PRINTED MANUAL Emphasizing that so you don't waste your time like I did. But my personal recommendation: spend your money on another camera, they have a lot to work on here.

I've tested the Elgato Facecam + Osbot 4k Meet & this HP 960 4k. Must say that the Elgato was quite solid only had an older STARVIS sensor from Sony. Result -> slightly less color reproduction (also under low light). Good software for both MAC and PC ! The Osbot Meet had good tracking but overall camera quality was less than Elgato and HP. HP has great picture but the software at this moment is weird . HP took over Platronics, somehow the camera is now support in Poly Lens. After finding this out it works fine on Windows. But is still lacking features like facetracking. Sadly on MAC Poly lens is not supporting the camera yet. The Camera works under Mac but very basic/low quality. Hopefully both the software on PC and MAC will be improved over time as the hardware is very good, only hope that software will be similar.
