This is a good kettle and I like that the lid springs open with a button. Only half the lid opens but that is enough and you don't burn your fingers having to lift the lid. The only downside is that it takes a while to shut off, but on the other hand you don't have to wait for it to shutt off - I take it when the water boils.

Once I'd bought a new adapter for my new kettle - it worked perfectly. It's very light when empty but takes a large volume of water to boil, which doesn't take long at all!!
