De'Longhi De’Longhi Icona Capitals, 1,7 l, 2000 W, Gelb, Edelstahl, Wasserstandsanzeige, Drahtlos

Not the quality I'd expect from this 'name'. Marks easily and soon looks shabby. Latest problem is peeling off of the chrome 'plating'. The band at the level of the switch is just coming away bit by bit and an 18month old kettle looks like it's 18 years old! Didn't expect to have to replace a De Longhi item so soon after purchase. Shan't be getting the same again.

I have had this kettle for 3 years, today it has broken. I have had much cheaper kettles that have lasted much longer. Also the red paint around the spout and water level started to peel off after 6 months, every time I wiped it over a bit more come off. This is a lot of money to pay for a kettle that only lasts 3 years and had peeling paint. I will not replace it with another de'longhi kettle.

It looks very stylish and worked efficiently but as it lasted less than 4 years, I consider it poor value for money.

Bought this kettle and the toaster. The kettle is reasonably quick at heating the water and I don't find it too noisy. But I absolutely detest the finish on this kettle and after a few months it was badly marked. The enamel has bubbled in a couple of places where something must have splashed onto it and it has lifted off on a few other places. Certainly wouldn't spend the money again on a de'longhi. As for the toaster - I won't even comment .

I like this product it's stylish and funky at the same time, it looks good and it doesn't take too long to boil. The reason I only gave it four stars is, it is very noisy when it starts to boil (sounds like a steam train) and the on switch is too easy to turn on by mistake, even a tea towel dropping on it will start it off although it will detect when there is no water in it and cut out but I feel it should be a little bit harder to turn on.
