I bought it April 2013 now I suspect the element has gone cos the light is on and it doesn't boil. I'm very disappointed!

Lid hinge at the top broke 1 months ago,wear and tear, sadly plastic hinge construction. In fairness i did order it on 11 Jul 2013. Just over 2 years of fast boiling. You be the judge
