The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is a great choice for studio video or filmmaking. However, the sensor has very noticeable rolling shutter, which is an issue with panning shots. Those who prefer to use autofocus will also be disappointed by its very basic AF system, which only allows for single-point single AF. If you prefer to pull focus manually, however, this is a great option for run-and-gun style filmmaking or for those who want a relatively portable cinema camera to get started with.

Ok i have only had this a week & chose this for the money outlay & it's picture quality & the fact that I can control this via ATEM (Blackmagic video switcher). This camera is body only & I already had Canon lenses to attach to it. Other pros are you can connect a fast SSD & it comes with the paid for version of Davinci Resolve - I may use this but for now FCPX. Cons - it's big! - to use the 6k & 5k its BRAW (a Blackmagic special) so I wont need that as Im generally 4k anyway & social media site like FB & Lindin are only 720p anyway or 1080p if you pay but YT will take 4k. Also Canon are not doing the EF lenses anymore Hope find this useful

I've worked with a series of Blackmagic Cameras over the past 8 years, but the 6K G2 really has all the best features. It's compact and light but has all the functions we need to record documentaries. Previous Blackmagic 4K Cameras were great quality but heavy and cumbersome to use. Our shooting style involves quite a bit of movement and this cameras fits perfectly on the DJI Ronin RS 2 and Edelkrone job. We've been getting about 3hours out of the batteries and it's great to have universal mains adapters with the cameras too. Honestly I think these cameras are super value for the quality, range and functionality it offers.
