Hard to believe you can not only get a half Terabyte of storage in a thumb drive, but also that it's just about as fast as a connected SSD, but HP provides both in this USB 3.1 Flash Drive. With hackers launching ransomware attacks on individuals as well as businesses these days, we all need a simple and secure way to back up our critical files - like 20 years of digital pictures. This made quick work of those files and I couldn't be more impressed with this flash drive. Highly recommend!

This is a very nice USB 3.1 flash drive. Mine has 512GB, which in reality (formatted) is 465GB usable space. Transfer speeds are nice, averaging around 300 MB per second (or higher). The design is sleek, with a retractable connection making it ideal for carrying on a keychain or in a pocket. Five stars. HP does this right.

This HP 512GB x796w USB 3.1 Flash Drive is one of the fastest thumb drives I've used, and I've used a lot of the higher end ones and the transfer speeds on this one is about 1.5 times as fast as the current flash drive that I have attached to my keys. This is a ridiculously small but sharp looking thumb drive with the metallic shell and two-tone color scheme it looks more subdued than the bright colorful thumb drives of the past, but if you are someone who loses things often this will work against you because of how easy it is to overlook it due to how well it blends in with the surroundings. Overall, I was impressed with the transfer speeds on this thumb drive, and I also liked the modern good looks that are very tasteful. 5/5 stars.
