As a self-employed entrepreneur, having to sign invoices and then scan them and send them back to customers was really impractical, not to mention unprofessional. This tablet was my salvation, hehe! Its compact design reinforces the impression of solidity, which gives me the confidence to take it everywhere with me. However, it should be noted that the initial set-up can be a bit tricky, as no software is provided for immediate use. A good little signing tablet: I recommend it!

Corporate technology that links in with adobe pdf enabling electronic signatures by, usually, customers without having having to print off or store paper documents. It is a sophisticated item, but has limited use for the general public. A star has been deducted as you need to download ProSign software before you can use it. Whilst you can get a 30-day free trial, the system is useless without it, so you will need to budget in at least another £70 for the software.

For the very specific job of adding real signatures to legal documents, the Wacom STU-530 is absolutely fit for purpose. In order to set it up, you'll need to have a bit of prior knowledge but with some logical deduction you'll have it up and running quickly. The build quality is excellent and will absolutely live up to many years of service.

Positives first; the unit looks stylish, modern & contempary. It feels nice & weighty and seems responsive enough. Now the bad points; first of all it didn't want to connect to my Macbook. Then when it did eventually connect there were no detailed instructions on how to use it. You get quite a thick accompanying booklet entitled "start up guide" but when you read it, apart from a brief description of how to fit the usb cable and attach the plastic "pen", there is nothing to tell you how to go about importing signatures into documents. At the best part of £300 just to insert a wet signature into a document, this just seems too much like hard work. Shame really.

This is a stylish piece of kit to insert a signature into a PDF file. It looks the part, it is compact and well designed... Well that's the positives, sadly this is a very expensive one trick pony. While on standby it can display a logo but intrinsically all it can do is insert a signature into a PDF document, and while more and more business are being aware of their carbon footprint there is more to become paperless than just a signature. At this price if it could insert signatures into other formats it could prove invaluable, Word or PowerPoint for example, a signature device rather than PDF only. Oh, and doesn't work happily with a Mac either
