Samsung GQ55S90C (Test)

I ordered this because I had been thinking about a bigger tv and Wirecutter said this was the best of the best. The guy from Palm Beach AV, who hooked it up for me (would have taken this old lady all damn day) said that's it, top of the line. I'm looking at it as I type. Its a joy. Watching 'Sprint' and it's like I'm on the coaching staff of the Olympics. Colors and depth are super. Easy to use; I was afraid it would be complicated. Great sound system.: no need for my old sound bar. Alexa responds to my voice or I can use the remote voice feature (but remotes can be misplaced and it's nie to have a tv that responds in case the remote hides on me.

TV won't turn on; this happened a month ago but magically turned on again after a few days. Hoping that happens again (I guess) but it seems pretty basic to just expect a TV to turn on.

I purchased this as my LG C2 was starting to get some burn in. The colors and vibrancy blew me away, I wasn't expecting it to be such an upgrade over the previous LG. During my research I've heard the colors were oversaturated. But to me this is a positive. Also, the 144hz over the 120hz was definitely noticeable, mostly in the smoothness of the cursor on desktop. But please note this feature is only available when being used as a PC display.

Don’t walk away, Run away

I bought this tv at the end of February and have had nothing but problems with it here's a list' HDMI 4 doesn't work the tv makes a humming noise when off when you wall mount the tv goes dark it just makes a clicking noise one of the speakers are blown it's as flimsy as a piece of cardstock and lastly the tv caught fire because of the poor build quality. when trying to contact Samsung customer service the communication has been awful expect to wait a week before hearing back from them and when the customer service finally gets a repair though expect it to get declined because it's a dealer claim whatever that means I've been dealing with this since beginning of April 6 weeks now and all I have now is a 50-pound paperweight that's just taking up space in my home. oh, and another thing all of Samsung has one phone number with no way of dialing an extension so you can't contact you claim manager that you are locked in with.
