Philips SHAVER Series 5000 S5465/18 Elektrischer Nass- und Trockenrasierer, Rotationstrasierer, Blau, ComfortTech Blades, Tasten, LED, Replace every 2 yrs with SH30

When it works this is an excellent wet & dry shaver. However, I am now having to request a replacement for the second time because after about a year the shaver refuses to charge when the cable is inserted. Having looked at this problem carefully, I think after some usage water collects in the charging area and cannot entirely be removed so a good electrical connection can't be made. I have tried repeated blotting , cloth drying and using a hair dryer all to no avail. This problem starts gradually (which suggests a slow seepage of water into the charging area, perhaps as seals breakdown), but eventually becomes total in that no amount of drying of the connections enables the shaver to be charged. There needs to be a better barrier between the charging point and the remainder of the shaver which is designed to get wet. I hope Phillips can fix this otherwise if it happens a third time I shall be forced to buy another manufacturers product.

Sehr schnelle Lieferung, Gerät funktioniert als Rasierer sehr gut und gründlich, die Abtrennung der Haarschneider Baugruppe als externes Teil ist nicht ganz optimal, warum der Ladeelektronik-Teil in den Stecker ausgelagert wurde, ist nicht klar. Damit entsteht ein separates Ladekabel, die bisherigen sind nicht logisch nicht mehr verwendbar. Ist das nachhaltig? Die Ladekontrolle könnte ein wenig mehr Helligkeit gebrauchen! Dass die Schermechanik unter Wasserstrahl zu reinigen ist ist als positiv zu bewerten

It’s now very good leaves lots of hair behind, if you leave a shave more than a day you have no chance the interchangeable heads are both poor, all in all it has no redeeming features for me.it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do it’s pointless!

Mit dem Rasierer bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ich rasiere mich täglich, es treten keinerlei Reizungen der Haut auf und das Ergebnis ist sehr gut. Vor allem gefällt mir, dass es im Vergleich zu meinem letzten Rasierer deutlich schneller geht. Die Handhabung des Gerätes ist gut und es liegt gut in der Hand. Die Akkulaufzeit ist voll ausreichend. Ich kann mindestens 10 Rasuren machen, bevor ich wieder laden muss. Ich bin mit dem Gerät rundum zufrieden.

I got this as a present to for Xmas from my wife and this is the only reason is not in the bin yet. It flares up my skjng, doesn't catch the hair leaving so many parts not saved. The way suggested to move it in circles obviously doesn't work, corners of my face, my chin, even the soft spots on my cheeks are left with uncut hair. Is not that I haven't tried dry or wet, the results is similar. I bet they tested it on a flat surface on a desk or built a theory behind a screen, definitely they have not tested this on a human.AVOID
