Real trouble pairing, real difficult to connect to wireless, gave up after a while

Works great once you figure out how to get it working. System did not setup as described in the manual supplied with the unit. You need the "pure connect app" for your phone to link the unit to your home Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the software version on the unit I received was not compatible with pure connect app and I could not configure using my iPhone. I got on line and did some research on Pure's website. I tried to load the updated software via download to a USB flash drive. This didn't work. I finally got the unit to connect to my Wi-Fi using my computer and linking to the router via a browser. This is described on one of Pure's tech bulletins. After I was able to link to my Wi-Fi the system automatically updated the software to the latest version. It then worked with the Pure Connect app and everything was fine. Very frustrating process as you have to figure out the software doesn't work with the app and then figure out how to update the system.

Pure Jongo A2. I really had high hope with this product since it is the only competitor to SONOS CONNECT and at 1/10 the cost why not? You get what you pay for. I never got the device to connect to my WIFI. I've worked in IT for over 20 years and know my way around network cisco routers, firewalls to just your avg wifi router at home. My iPhone never detected the WIFI User ID Jongo.,. I hung it up after couple wasted hours. SONOS I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Not sure about sound quality, reliability and longevity of product. The company also does not have local support, I dial the 800 number on box for support and it went to voicemail at 1pm PST. I am truly bummed that there is nobody out there to compete with SONOS CONNECT!.

My own fault for not completely researching this product. I purchased this product specifically in order to have the capability to stream via WiFi from my mobile device, apps such as Pandora and Sirius. This can only be done using the Jongo's Bluetooth, NOT it's WiFi, which makes this device completely useless to me. The whole reason for purchasing was to avoid the short distance Bluetooth offers. I have several Bluetooth devices to use. I wanted the stronger signal of WiFi. When connecting via WiFi, you have to use the Pure Connect app, which does not support Pandora or Sirius. Again, I am sure this device could be 4 or 5 stars, but it is not for me. Going in the box I have so many other useless electronic devices around my home.

Good for bluetooth, WiFi - not so much (limited which files it can play, needs better firmware for that). Like that it has SPDIF and Digital Coaxial out. Good design.
