This item had to be returned. Defective. Then you guys only gave me $41 out of $50 I paid for it. Not right!

We purchased this Cuisinart toaster from Kohl's with high expectations of a long last product based on name alone. The toaster was unpacked and plugged in to a functioning outlet. The appearance of the toaster appeared fine. I began to check the functions of the toaster and found the leavers would not hold their positions when pressed down. Attempted this numerous times, with very sporadic results. As a consumer you should not have to work hard to get your bread toasted, but unfortunately, you would have to with this Cuisinart toaster. This unit will be returned. I can't tell how this unit will toast. I didn't get that far. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with our experience. I do miss the days when brand name meant something. I can recommend, in hindsight, to read the reviews before purchasing. I honestly can't recommend this product to anyone.

Straight out of the box, the two on the right side would not work. Had to return it.

The toaster is inconsistent and one side burns toast regardless of what setting i use. The other side is inconsistent, setting 3 for example works great one day and either burns or doesn't toast on another day. Very disappointed in this purchase. If I could return it I would but unfortunately I tossed the box and packaging prematurely.
