For printing at home, this printer (R1800), and the cartridge system can hardly be beat. I have had this printer for 5+ years now, and have never had any clogs. A bit of ink is wasted when cleaning heads after a long spell of sitting, but not a big deal.

I use this ink in an Epson R1800 printer. The color is outstanding. I only have clogs when the printer goes for an extended period without being used Even then I've never had one to take more than two automatic cleanings to clear and most of the time it only takes one. Prints made on Epson luster paper will match most any printer Don't bother with third party inks. The color won't be as good and clogging is a real problem.

the ink cartridge is easy to install and i get great results with the printer in general.

Epson inks have for me been trouble free with great color. I would use nothing else.
