The telescope looks great in the box and I'm sure it's a fine piece of kit. It certainly came highly recommended. My one star review is for the company I bought it from. I can't use the telescope as one of the locking mechanisms won't unlock. Despite many attempts to phone the customer service line (no one ever answers) all I have had in response is an email linking me to the technical help section of someone elses website which doesn't actually stock the telescope I bought. Avoid this company, buy the telescope from someone like Harrison Telescopes who might be slightly more expensive but actually answer their phone and know their stock intimately. They are friendly and happy to help!!

Received mercury telescope instead. So requested a change for ordered telescope which was agreed with seller but received another mercury telescope which I immediately pointed out to the driver who said he could do nothing about it as he was only delivering what was supplied. At that point I gave up and asked for a refund. As you can see the service I got was very poor indeed and left me feeling disappointed and greatly let down.

I did a lot of research before making a purchase. I have wanted a telescope for years and co uldn't decide whether to buy a refractor or reflector or what kind of mount to buy. I decided on this after seeing the reviews in sky at night magazine and saw the price. I just need some clear nights so i can use it. Had 1 quick look at Jupiter and was amazed. My 4 year old daughter loved it. Great buy for a keen beginner.

Slightly disappointed. Bought this as a christmas present. For a start it didnt look like the picture - We thought maybe they had sent the wrong one, but it appears to be the correct code, maybe its an older version (ours was black and the picture is light blue). Not that easy to put together, after a bit of a struggle we just about did it. The adjustable bendy controls are rather stiff and do not let you make a smooth movement. But as with most things I expect it will take a little time to get used to it.
