Denon D-M41DAB Schwarz

Love it super quality for a great price. Replaced old Cambridge Audio amp etc Just in a whole different level sound wise.

I bought this three weeks ago in the Southampton store to replace my Pure DMX-60 unit that ceased to work. Excellent sound through my existing speakers. However, I am very disappointed with the fact that it will only tune into the stronger signal BBC DAB stations, all others the display states "no service". The FM stations are also limited, cannot receive Smooth radio for example. My previous unit had no issues on this front. I am using the same external aerial, a co-ax cable and dipole high up in the loft space. Also on FM the station name is not displayed, only the frequency which isn't all that helpful nor is the title of the music being played displayed, only on DAB. Overall the sound is great including CD's but FM/DAB reception is poor. Perhaps I should have done more research and had I known this I would have chosen a different model.

A lovely sounding music system. Im still using the slightly older DM40 model, and that also provides outstanding music quality, wespecially when combined with a pair of lovely Monitor Audio Silver 7Gs, Theres nothing really to fault with the Denon music players, as their keenly priced and perform brilliantly.
