Not cheap but not in the premium price range either and very good value for the price. It is reassuringly solid, moderately easy to adjust and provides a very firm base fo my fairly heavy camera. Almost exactly what I was looking for. The same sturdiness with less weight would have been perfect; and I would have iked a carry bag with it.

A very good tripod, it's easy to use and can tell already it is top quality so will be durable and I think it looks great too, chunky yet quality and professional all while staying lightweight. I'd say the tripod itself is worthy of 5 stars but there's a few things to note... There's no head included with the tripod (I don't like this at the price point but I can just about understand it) There is no tripod bag included at all (This is completely unacceptable in my opinion, I've purchased cheaper Manfrotto tripods with a bag included so why they don't include one for the most premium tripods I don't know) I did NOT purchase this at the RRP of £599.95, it's still a top tripod but at £599 without a head or bag it's would be 3 star just on value alone.

This is the second MT055 tripod I've bought. The first being ten years ago. I've taken it round the world and used it in mud, sand and the sea and it's still going strong. The new one is for my second camera body so I can use both cameras at once.
