Gitzo GT5543XLS Systematic Tripod Series 5 Carbon 4 Sektionen XL

Gitzo ist eine sehr hochwertige Marke. Man bezahlt viel, bekommt aber auch ein tolles Produkt. Das Upgrade von dem alten Stativ hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Die Höhe und die Stabilität sucht seinesgleichen. Dieses Stativ wird mich viele Jahre, wenn nicht sogar für immer begleiten. Viele Fotografen nutzen diese Stative jahrzehntelang ohne Probleme. Besser einmal richtig Geld in die Hand nehmen, statt 3-4 Mal etwas zu kaufen.

Tall tripods are not just for tall people, they give you versatility on sloping ground and increased stability in windy conditions (by spreading legs wider without having to reduce height as you would with a shorter one). Good for shooting over hedges, fences and walls, with a set of steps. This 5 series is solid, noticeably more so than it's 3 series XLS cousin. Nothing much else to say really: tall, solid and yes heavy. Costs a lot but worth it. It's an investment which will last a long time.

Seems to be not much love here for Gitzo on the forum, so just a quick review.

Although equipment is sometimes a personal preference, I did lots of research on this Gitzo Systematic tripod. The height is perfect for my height. Light weight, easy to extend the legs, and level. I know it is pricey but this item has proven itself in a very short time. 100% pleased.

I have been wanting this tripod for a least three years now, but it took a while for me to justify the expense. You can imagine my great disappointment when my new tripod arrived and I found one of the leg release tabs broken off during transit. I immediately contacted B&H Customer Service and explained the issue. The CS representative apologized for the experience and quickly confirmed my information for a RMA and credit. I told him I had a planned an out of town photo shoot that I had scheduled around the arrival of the tripod. The CS rep setup a expidited replacement shipment in order to make sure I had the Gitzo tripod before I left town. Great service! As far as the quality and usefulness of my Gitzo tripod, it is outstanding. I totally regret putting off the purchase for so long. It is rock solid and with its wide range of setup heights, it meets my needs as a wildlife photographer. I could not be more please from the purchasing experience.
