Gitzo GT1545T Traveler Stativ Serie 1, 4 Segmente Carbon

I already have a heavy duty Gitzo tripod for nature photography with a 600mm lens and needed a lighter version for carrying over distances for landscape and general use. I am amazed at how rigid this model is given its light weight and slender legs. I use it with a heavy pro camera and lenses and there is absolutely no vibration or shake. I removed the centre column replacing it with the short column supplied. There was nothing in the instructions on how to couple the head to it but I was able to figure it out. Without the centre column it is easy to use to collapse down the tripod to ground level for insect photography. Even without the centre column fitted you can use a mounted camera mounted just below eye level. I like the fact that head accepts Arca lens plates. Expensive but top performance

Nice lightweight Gitzo tripod. Used for a Swarovski BTX and 95mm objective lens.

A lightweight, compact tripod made by Gitzo. I am happy with the height and stability of this tripod. With this price, I think the GK1545 is a much better choice than the peak design carbon fibre tripod.

I have had a number of tripods over the years. Do not let the price put you off, for landscapes and travel you will not get better.
