Gitzo Mountaineer Kit, Serie 1, 4 Segmente GT1542

I sent it back, right after I got it. 1) The rubber covering of the PAN adjustment knob was damaged or just baldy produced (see photo). 2) The plate that comes with it is a bad joke. The top has no rubber or similar soft material on it. It will damage the bottom of your camera, ie scratch it. 2b) The fastening mechanism for that plate is another bad joke. Once that screw is fastened and you fold down that "bow handle", good luck with getting it up again. You need long strong nails to do so, because even a slim index won't be able to grab it. Jeez, Gitzo, you used to make great tripods. Manfrotto is not doing you any good, it seems. Badly overpriced gimmicks that are not well thought through. Sad, really.
