These are great! I use my tripods indoors and out, the retractable feature of these feet make things fast and easy. Spin them down for indoor use, spin them up for outdoor use. I have preferred this option on my tripods for over 30 years. Yes, I recommend!

The metal retaining clip came off one of the feet and the rubber part of the foot spun right off, luckily it was lodged inside the foot so it was not lost, it's tiny. Squeezed it a little smaller and put it back in place, seems to work okay now. I like it but for a thousand dollar tripod it should be included.

These work great. Easy to install and use. My only concern is that they are made of aluminum and they are screwed into another aluminum part and subject to corrosion. You put these into salt water, you are going to have problems. They should have been made from stainless steel. To protect your tripod, add a little anti-seize compound from Loctite or even some lithium grease on all threads. And clean your tripod with full disassembly after any water submersion.

I lost a standard foot on the lava fields of Hawaii a few weeks ago. Prior to that time I was giving these spiked feet some consideration because of their design; two in one Rubber when you need the grip on floors or other suitable surfaces. And spikes for uneven ground. These would have worked well as spikes on the lava near 2,000 degree surface flows. I have used them a few times and found the spikes to be a positive addition to the tripod.

Well made replacement for the standard robber feet that came with myGitzo 3541. Beefy, well made with retractable spikes.
