My steam deck would not run one single game without crashing. These were games rated for steam deck. The steam deck smelled like cigarette smoke. The icing on the cake is the return said I could return it in store. The employee proceeded to mock me and say I should have bought the warranty. I had to ship it back. They then sent the gift card to the wrong shipping address. Buy from valve save your time. They do not quality check there devices.

Bought a 512gb LCD Steam Deck from them for my wife. It was fine for simple 2d games for the first few months. The first time she tried playing a 3d game (Steam Deck Verified), the thing now has the black screen of death. I check the device logs and there are GPU failure errors. Feels like they stole my money. I've shopped at Gamestop for years. Done.

Upon opening the device looked fine. The back of it had sticker residue all over it though. I cleaned that and booted on the steam deck. Immediately after choosing my Wi-Fi and typing the in password for it.....Crash. I thought it was a fluke. Finally after trying to set it up about 20 times with it crashing each time in the middle of setup. I figured it might have just been a setup thing. I play in the menu for 5 minutes after that and crash again. It has crashed maybe 20 times in the 6 hours I've used it. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I saw online. Now GameStop wants to charge $16 for me to return it.

Do not buy a Steamdeck from Gamestop. The one I had was overall perfect..... Other than the fact that the quick access button was broken rendering everything else useless lol
