The LG SP8YA is very good for mixed usage. With its room correction feature turned on, it offers a bass-heavy sound profile that adds extra thump and punch to your audio, so you feel the rumble in bass-heavy music and action-packed movies. Many sound customization features are also available, and it supports Dolby Atmos content. However, it has to downmix surround content into stereo to play it, which doesn't sound very immersive.

I purchased this LG sound bar to go with my new LG TV thinking they should work well together. It turns out the sound bar and sub woofer take over the WIFI signal and the TV will no longer stream. I spent hours in a chat with LG support before they figured it out. Very, very disappointed in this product.

So it’s pricey. $500 is a lot. I have permanent hearing loss so I need good speakers. Dolby ATMOS tho is top notch. The LG TVs pair amazingly well with this and I can hear all the details.

I have an LG TV UN7300 65". I purchased this soundbar to connect to this Tv via HDMI. Connected the two via an HDMI + Ethernet cable and tried every possible combination of TV and soundbar hdmi ports. All combinations produced the same result which was no signal. If two products from the same brand won't work well that says it all. Tried to contact LG no dice there. Tried third party support same result couldn't get the hdmi to work. Don't waste your money folks. I should have waited for a 2021 JBL atmos product.
