Die Garmin Instinct 2 überzeugt durch ihre extrem lange Akkulaufzeit, vor allem bei der Solar-Variante, wobei viele Tests zeigen, dass der Solarzuwachs in der Praxis begrenzt ist. Die Uhr ist sehr robust, leicht und wasserdicht und bietet zahlreiche Sport- und Outdoorfunktionen wie GPS, Herzfrequenzmessung und ABC-Sensoren. Das monochrome Display ist gut ablesbar, aber ohne Farbe und Touch. Navigation ist möglich, Karten fehlen jedoch. Das proprietäre Ladekabel kann unpraktisch sein. Für alle, die eine zuverlässige Outdoor-Smartwatch mit Top-Akku suchen, ist sie eine gute Wahl, sofern keine Karten oder Farbdisplay erwartet werden.

Crap. Buy a brand new watch only to find out from Garmin it was registered back in 2022 to another device after a week of trying to connect to my phone.

The Instinct 2’s design may divide opinion but its extensive set of features will delight all. There’s nothing that can rival what it offers as a multisport/adventure watch for £300, and the solar version also promises endless battery life for those in sunny climes.

I like the watch. I wanted to love it, but it doesn't record accurate information. For instance, I walked 2.5 miles tonight, but when I synced it with the Connect app, it said I walked .10 miles. Accuracy is kind of the whole point of owning a smart/fitness watch, right? I'm going to return it because for the price, I want all (or at least most) of the advertised features to work.
