Der POC Fornix MIPS in Uranium Black Matt ist ein leichter Skihelm mit PC-In-Mold-Schale, EPS-Innenschale und Aramid-Verstärkung, der ein hohes Schutzniveau bietet, ohne klobig zu wirken. Die integrierte MIPS-Schicht hilft, Kräfte bei schrägen Aufprällen zu reduzieren, was insbesondere für anspruchsvolle Skifahrer und Snowboarder zusätzliche Sicherheit bringt. Durch verstellbare Lüftungsöffnungen und sogenannte Goggle Chimneys kann warme Luft effizient entweichen, sodass der Helm sowohl bei intensiven Abfahrten als auch beim Tourengehen komfortabel bleibt und Brillen weniger beschlagen. Das 360° Verstellsystem und die relativ flache, schlanke Passform sorgen für einen stabil sitzenden Helm, der nicht wackelt, wobei das Modell bei sehr breiten oder runden Köpfen eher klein ausfallen und weniger Platz für eine dicke Mütze unter der Schale bieten kann. Da der Fornix MIPS auf eine In-Mold-EPS-Konstruktion setzt, sollte er nach einem schweren Sturz ersetzt werden und kostet mehr als einfache Helme, bietet dafür aber eine Kombination aus hoher Sicherheit, niedrigem Gewicht, guter Belüftung und modernem Design.

Becareful with this one. It runs small and I had to return it with a $12 return shipping charge. For my head I need XL. I ordered the Xl/XXL and it was very tight on the sides.

I ordered a black but got something that resembled the apartite blue instead (logos missing as on the black). Otherwise helmet looks great, got a medium for my 56cm head and it was very snug

POC is synonymous with safety helmets, and they look good and have a lot of vents. Very suitable for Asian heads.

My son loves this helmet. Super comfortable. This helmet doesn't bother his ears and keeps his head warm. It sits comfortably in a safe position and very easy to spot on the mountain.

Great helmet. Nice & light. Easy to adjust sizing & remove/replace the ear pads. Very stylish as well and the venting system works great. Having MIPS technology is a nice bonus knowing that it'll help keep you safe.
