Google - Nest Cam 2PK (outdoor or indoor, battery)

This camera has surpassed my expectations. My first purchase was the Nest outdoor cam IQ. I spent hours researching security cams & systems for my home. I decided to go wireless. Both cams have beautiful resolution and are very stable on my home network. The software is amazing. The features are awesome, the functionality is very intuitive and the design is well thought out. I couldnt be happier. These cameras arent cheap but after about 2 months of having them up & running, I can say Id highly recommend. I think the only possible issue that might be a negative would be if you dont have a good solid network to support the cameras. Im lucky I do.

The difference in image quality and stream quality on the Nest Cam IQ from the regular Nest Cam is significant. The product is well refined as is the Nest software.

The best thing about the Nest Cam Indoor was how easy it was to get it working right out of the box, next generation Nest Cam IQ is $100 more and is missing a mounting bracket. So you can glue it to the wall or buy the necessary bracket for $15 extra, but do not contact Nest for a free bracket... unless you don't mind spending 42 minutes total on hold and conversing with the support rep, then be told that it will be delivered in 7 business days?!? But wait I heard that Nest ships those missing brackets overnight. So I was able to obtain a "special waiver" and got the missing item expedited to overnight delivery, or did I? It has been 5 1/2 days since my call and I haven't seen the missing hardware yet. Haven't heard back through e-mail either asking about the status of the shipment. BAD customer service, the worst I've ever seen.

This is a good piece of equipment. My wife and I use it to keep track of our cats while were away from home. I wish I could say we use it to spy on the Russians, but that wouldn't take much sophistication. It was very easy to set up once you realize that you have to " add a camera" at the bottom of the menu. Once you do that everything else is simple. The software is excellent: it works right every time. I was a little bit disappointed that the definition of the images is not a little bit better, but then again, it's just watching cats. I'm going to get a second one for the living room as soon as my wife lets me.

Really easy to setup, works better with a 5GHz WiFi. Some features require a premium subscription on Nest, not necessary for my personal use. No complaints so far.
