It works perfectly! I scan original artwork on this scanner. It captures colors as well as rich blacks and subtle grays. Highly recommended for large format scanning.

If you purchase the scan speeder software it really makes this printer awesome. I would recommend it all the way.

I bought The Epson WorkForce DS-50000 for scanning original artwork. I had researched for a LONG time to find the right device that would both do a beautiful high rez scan and in large format. It is everything I hoped for. I downloaded VueScan to help with the editing which helped immensely. It worked seamlessly and immediately. I can scan and save the files in JPEG and TIFF. It is easy and quiet. Just a note. It is rather large but of course it does large format so that is to be expected. I'd highly recommend this device!
