Previously I have been satisfied with the service I have received from the Edinburgh store. On this occasion not so. I ordered a set of Elixir strings for a 12-string guitar on Tuesday 24th March. Your website indicated that they could be collected on Thursday 26th. During the following few days I contacted the store to be told that they hadn't arrived. On 2nd April I spoke to a helpful member of staff who said that he would order me another set. These I collected on 4th April (while purchasing several other items) eleven days after placing my order. You stock Elixir strings, why not the twelve string set?

I sent the money and they sent the strings. They fit and would seem to be of good quality. Not too expensive as these things go and better than having to travel to Glasgow to collect. Job done. End of.

Seit kurzem fällt mir folgendes auf: Nach kurzer Zeit fängt immer die D-Saite (und nur die !!!) an im Bereich des Plektrums auszufasern. Ich kanns nicht anders beschreiben. Das sieht aus als ob der Saite Haare wachsen. Klingen tut das dann wie wenn früher die Umwicklung gerissen war: ohne Sustain und Dumpf. Das war früher bei Elixier Saiten nicht der Fall. Die haben einfach lange gehalten und handling und sound waren prima. Während sie früher ca. Einen Monat gehalten haben (war günstiger als jede Woche wechseln) gehts jetzt nach spätestens 2Wochen los, daß vom ganzen Satz eine Saite unbrauchbar wird und EINE Saite tauschen klang noch nie gut. Ich fürchte das ist ein Produktionsfehler. Hoffentlich bekommen die das in den Griff sonst muss ich wechseln.
