Superb quality as usual from D’Addario. First time using such heavy strings but an essential for lower tunings.

Basic and as excpected. Does the job, a little to bright for my taste.

I ended up switching to the D'Addario 12-60 gauge, before that I used to use the 10-46 gauge string. The lighter gauge felt comfortable for the longest and was what I always used. But the band I'm in has written a few songs in drop B that have some quick bends and the lighter gauge is just too floppy for me to play the songs good. I decided to try out the 12-60 gauge and it made a huge difference playing our songs. They stay in tune better and are much tighter. Not only that but the strings sound very clear and have a bright sound, they also last quite a while without breaking. No other brand of string I've used sounds or plays as good as D'Addario! This is the brand of string I will always play.
