Great saw - have used on a variety of hardwoods without any issues. I have it mounted on a Dewalt DWX726 stand which allows it to easily be moved around my shop.

Bought this for home projects. It works great. Good quality, reliable and cuts like butter. This saw has turned me into a Hitachi believer. Everything I own for power tools is Hitachi.

I love the saw, but one of the plastic knobs was broken when I removed from it's packaging. The knobs seem to be cheaply built, but the saw works great and the sliding bevel is a godsend.

Love, love, love this saw. It's my third (or fourth) miter saw and my first sliding saw. I've been waiting for one that didn't require me to punch a hole through my house for the slide bars to go back. The deciding factor for me was that you can lock the bars and slide the carriage back and forth. It works flawlessly and it extremely accurate. I'd highly recommend if you are in the market for a sliding compound miter say.
