Device baffled an inexperienced optimum technician, but was connected easily. I did the installation with the technician phoning in details and ensuring proper signal strength from the coaxial cable. Router setup was weird, just leave the user and password fields blank for login, then set up your own settings. Disable remote access to prevent vulnerability hacking known for this device. Signal strength of Wi-Fi is excellent, phone jack works flawlessly. LAN connection is great, multiple devices connected through both settings with little slowdown of speeds. Instructions I received were useless, just used some savvy to configure this device. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask me.

Returned - this was a router for Time Warner Cable and resold (not by Amazon) as a universal router. It was not applicable to Cox.
