Asus RT-AX59U, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Dual-Band (2,4 GHz/5 GHz), Ethernet/LAN, Schwarz, Tabletop-Router

This router has an understated appearance, but performs very well, and is easy to set up via the web interface; I had it up and running in an hour or so, after taking careful note of my old router's settings. There is also a phone app to assist with setting up; this isn't quite as powerful as the web interface, but very handy for monitoring the performance, and for minor settings changes. My only gripe (and it's a minor one at that) is that the power-supply had an adaptor to allow it to plug into Australian outlets, and this adapter is needlessly bulky. But aside from that, I'm happy with this purchase.

I replaced my older router with this model due to stability and security issues. The old router's firmware could no longer be updated which creates a security risk on the router. The Asus was easy to install and set up, and was up and running within a half hour. The router is very stable and fast, with the facility to select the function you require to have priority (e.g. streaming, file transfer, web surfing etc). Also the remote connection facility is useful. It is worth the slightly higher price for this top end router.

I had another Asus router but it was getting kind of old and started dropping sometimes. I use AiMesh so wanted a replacement that was also Asus. I got this one and it is SO GOOD. So much better than my old AX3000 or whatever it was. We can connect devices in places there was no signal before and everything is much faster. There was a TV at the very edge of the old Wifi range that could only barely get signal now it is lightning fast. My house is pretty big too and this is through a few concrete walls. Excellent router and very neat-looking. I will probably buy another for the other AI mesh node at some point.

Bought this unit to extend my network and remove dead spots. Process to add to my ASUS router as a mesh node was super simple and the result was exactly what I needed in a nice little unobtrusive package. I’m not a gamer so cannot comment of stability or speed for that purpose but it’s perfect for my use!

Fine performance and a huge breadth of software features make this a very likeable home router
