Der Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus ist ein All-Terrain-Ganzjahresreifen für SUVs und Pick-ups. Er bietet zuverlässige Traktion auf Asphalt, Schotter, Matsch und nassen Straßen und trägt das 3PMSF-Symbol, sodass er auch bei starkem Schneefall einsetzbar ist.[1][3][5][7] Für einen Geländereifen wird er oft für sein relativ niedriges Geräuschniveau und den guten Fahrkomfort gelobt, was für Vielfahrer auf der Autobahn interessant ist.[1][3][7][15] Die robuste, schnitt- und ausbruchfeste Mischung sorgt in der Praxis für eine ordentliche Laufleistung, wobei einige Nutzer berichten, dass die Performance nach vielen tausend Kilometern merklich nachlässt.[3][7][11] Wichtig ist, dass der Grip auf Eis klar hinter echten Winterreifen zurückbleibt und der Reifen weniger für extremes Offroad-Fahren geeignet ist als ausgeprägte Matschreifen.[7][13] Für Käufer, die einen leisen, komfortablen A/T-Reifen mit ernstzunehmender Wintertauglichkeit suchen, ist dies eine starke, wenn auch nicht eisoptimierte Option.

The land Rover Discovery is a heavy vehicle and driven spiritedly the tyres perform well, they are not performance tyres so dry weather driving on potholed English roads has provided good handling. Wet weather driving inspires confidence with feeling and grip, no obvious break aways or sliding. On gravel/grass/unmade roads the tyres perform above expectations. So far I am very please with the tyres, you do have to pick out the stones that collect in the tread sometimes but that is to be expected.

The Scorpion All Terrain Plus gives me the confidence that I can tackle most terrain and get me out of trouble. The only downside is availability, it is a difficult tyre to get hold off.

To date, in the absence of experience in snow, the wheels are magnificent, the best I have tried, both on highways and roads and on light tracks, very good grip and totally silent and aesthetically very beautiful. So far I think it has been a success
