Pirelli 1x Scorpion Sommerreifen 235/55 R19 101T Reifen

Excellent road holding but terrible against aquaplaning. Almost fatal in heavy rain.

The Pierllis came OEM on my 2011 Touareg. It's definitely a dry weather tire, decent enough in the rain as I experienced no hydroplaning driving in strong rains, and very little winter traction. I found my decently heavy 4WD Touareg not much of a snow hound with these tires installed. After 30,000 miles, the tire treads that weren't that originally all-weahter to start are getting bald. Before the winter hits, I'm installing Michelin Latitude Tour HPs, one of the few good tires to be manufactured in this size. I also looked at the Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires, but too many people had constant balancing problems. The Pirelli tires present a lot of road noise, and I'm hoping for a significant reduction with the Michelins.

This tire started very quiet and well-behaved. However, after less than 10,000 miles the noise was driving me crazy! Pirelli will not stand behind their tires. I had the discount tire shop try to negotiate a pro-rating, to no avail. Went to Michelins after the Pirellis and I will never go back.

Noise between 35 and 45 mph. Started around 18k miles. Tire center has offered to pro rate new tires. I just hope I don't have to get the same thing. I don't think I should experience too much road noise with a 2010 Lexus with 50k miles. Can't honestly rate for snow or rain because I live in Southern California.

2011 Touareg,after only 16 k miles the tires present a very loud noise(flaping noise) , no remaining tread for a little snow or ice.Not very good overall tires.I encourage others to buy a different tire...
