Der Fulda EcoControl HP2 205/55R16 91H wird in verschiedenen europäischen Tests und Nutzerberichten für seine hohe Laufleistung und den geringen Verschleiß gelobt, was ihn für Vielfahrer interessant macht, die langfristig sparen möchten. Der niedrige Rollwiderstand und das EU-Label C beim Kraftstoffverbrauch sorgen zusätzlich für einen sparsamen Betrieb. Tests heben ein niedriges Geräuschniveau um 70 dB und gute Aquaplaning-Reserven hervor, was bei starkem Regen Sicherheit vermittelt. Auf trockener Fahrbahn bietet der Reifen kurze Bremswege und ein solides Sicherheitsniveau, wobei die Lenkansprache teilweise als etwas träge und unpräzise beschrieben wird. Die deutlichste Schwäche liegt auf nasser Straße: Mehrere unabhängige Tests melden längere Bremswege und weniger Grip im Nasshandling, sodass der Reifen im Mittelfeld mit Urteilen wie „befriedigend“ landet. Er eignet sich vor allem für ruhige bis normale Fahrer, die Wirtschaftlichkeit und Haltbarkeit höher gewichten als maximale Performance im Regen.

I drive about 10,000 km in the summer, in the city, on the highway, and a lot in the mountains. The tire holds up well in all positions, only the wear is a bit high.
