Put this in my Mac Pro Cylinder to replace a 6 Core CPU, crossed my fingers, turned it on and smiled as the Mac Pro sprang to life. I could not discern that single core operations were any slower while video rendering is WAY faster. Best price I cold find and VERY HAPPY!

The money intel asks weighted against the performance gain compared to 2670 is too high. Also the processor does not support avx2 and fma4. Still the best out there at the moment for Scientific work (thanks to still underperforming AMD on this front )

My Xeon E5 arrived last week and I couldn't wait to get this puppy installed. It's one the meanest processors out there and my computer is literally UNSTOPPABLE. There's literally NOTHING this processor can't handle. I've thrown every program that I own on it and it performed flawlessly. Facebook, Twitter, Gmail?? You name it. It can do it. SHA-256 is officially my bitch. Please excuse me, I'm about to go take out the Bitcoin protocol.
