Dropped two of these into a server, it is running 16 VMs of Windows 7 Pro without difficulty.

Wasn't sure if I would be happy settling for a lower version due to budget but this processor does the trick. Package was new factory sealed tray. All cores worked and no excessive heat issues. Single Idle @ 10-18w 22C Dual Idle @ 15-23w 22C

I am running dual Processors on my motherboard and for the price, I chose these. no problems to report installing was a snap, matched with Intel's coolers.

The package was opened several times and looked used, like someone opened a couple of hundred times a day. There was only the CPU in the box - I hope it's new - although I'm not sure. I can't believe this is being sold as a new item... CPU IS great, just not sure it's worth buying from Amazon. The post office where I live is open 2 hrs a day during normal working hours.... Too much trouble. Thanks Amazon.
