Die Speedlink EVENT ist ein günstiges, kompaktes 2.0-Lautsprechersystem für den Schreibtisch. Die Installation über USB ist einfach, und die Lautstärke- sowie Kopfhörerregelung direkt am Lautsprecher sind praktisch. Der Klang ist klar und für den Alltag ausreichend, aber der Bass ist begrenzt und die Lautstärke nicht sehr hoch. Ideal für einfache, zuverlässige Lautsprecher am PC oder Laptop, weniger geeignet für Bassliebhaber oder laute Musik. Die Lautsprecher sind stabil gebaut und nehmen wenig Platz ein, können aber wegen des festen Kabels nicht weiter auseinander gestellt werden.

Wer vor allem Mitten oder Bass mag nimmt lieber einen anderen Lautsprecher. Dieser hier betont die Stimme, also die Höhen. Genau was ich mag, sonst geht die Stimme neben der Musik unter. Und das macht er für ~11eur perfekt. Einzig man muss ihn über Steckernetzteil, also zb. vom Handy(ladegerät) anschliessen. Direkt am Computer hört man Rauschen vom Netzteil. Ein Rauschfilter fehlt also, aber das werden viele andere Lautsprecher bis 100eur auch nicht haben.

Two very light weight speakers, connecting via USB and colour coded sound output jack around the back of the computer. The length of the cables are enough to reach computers that are on a different level to the monitor. There is nothing behind the decorative mesh, so they wouldn't be able to withstand a clumsy strike. Very pleased and for the price you really cannot complain.

Powerful sound, if a little harsh/bassy at higher volumes. No hard wired graphic equaliser (not even bass / treble) but for the cost and mine are just for work, fine.

Upon connecting these up I could immediately hear a nasty crackle coming from the left speaker. Unfortunately due to this crackle I have no good feedback to give, waste of money.
