I'm using this mainly for macro work to keep my DOF very shallow and selective. The threads are smooth fitting and the action of the variable rotation are smooth and precise. I use this on top of a skylight filter for my 100 f:2.8 and there is no vignetting. The clarity and sharpness don't seem to be noticeably affected. It's certainly worth the price.

I found this filter really helpful for shooting at sunny midday with low aperture and normal shutter speed. It is well made and easy to use with wide range of adjusting the exposure.

Does the trick. There is a little bit of vignetting when it closes down to much.

Purchased this filter for my vlogging kit, screwed it on to head out for an afternoon of shooting and found out that the filter has no threads on the front side, meaning you can't put a cap on it... put it back in the box and returned it. Why in the world would they not give you the option to cap the filter (even if they didn't thread it for additional stacking of filters, at least they could have given us ridges for the standard 55mm cap.

Can reduce exposure by seven stops. East to use. Works great. Quality glass and construction. Recommended.
