Excellent price for a reliable product. It worked right out of the box.

I've deployed this with about a dozen active ports in a home environment. It works fine, is cool to the touch and I've tested on my workstations and see the full network speed reached. Every computer and TV in our house is hooked up to a wired connection and the kids are constantly streaming, so it is getting lots of traffic. It's a simple device, well made, low drama, works as one would hope.

This was the most economical 1Gig alternative, and I have used Trend Net before and they were solid. No problems: swapped cables, cussed a bit (normal for projects that are not right out in front where I can see WTF I am doing), but run the 9th cable to the new item, reboot router, and everything was working again.

I always thought having a managed switch was the way to go, but I have now found the way. This switch allows me to run gigabit through my home . I use this in my home data closet to bring everything together. It produces no heat, requires no software / apps and produces no noise. It just works.. And well at that. Love it.

One of the few switches with jacks on rear, more convenient for desktop placement—or so I thought. As it turns out, over the past 2 weeks of use, so far 2-3 jacks just stopped working. Moving the cable to another jack brought device back online. When that device turns out to be something important, like the DNS server or firewall device, that turns out to be an aggravating problem to troubleshoot, when a simple unmanaged switch has *one job*. Unreliable, and think I'll be sending this one back. (also, in all the rearranging of cables debugging this, I've decided that even on a desktop, jacks on the front would be more convenient after all)
