Worked as expected, great way to power remote video Pan tilt cameras. Eventually decided not to work after a year. But got their use.

Using this to split power back out to my IP Cams from a POE switch. Its great when you dont have power near your camera's, and your camera dont natively support POE. Small and easy to hide.

I'm with the other reviewer, this is not a standard POE injector, it is designed to work with D-Link equipment it seems, the description needs to be better. I gave it 3 stars because I don't know how well it would work if I could use it. It does *not* come with a AC adapter, it assumes there is power on the ethernet and breaks it back down into just enet and just power -- it's the OPPOSITE of a power injector. Anyway, maybe I'm wrong, I messed with it for 5 minutes and then a glance at the manual made it seem like a lost cause so back to the jungle it goes!

I bought one of these to PoE enable a Linksys by Cisco WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router to a 105892: Netgear Prosafe 16 Port 10/100 Desktop Switch With PoE W/wallmount Kit (FS116PEU) PoE enabled switch. I was a bit dubious given that I was throwing a third manufactuer into the mix and was expecting compatibility problems (given that 802.11af specifies two modes of supplying power over the Cat5 cable and some manufacturers use method A and some use method B, and it seems damn near impossible to get compatibility information). I needn't have worried. The D-Link worked like a charm and I now have a PoE enabled AP in a very inaccessible place for running a power supply. I shall be buying a few more of these to extend the useful lifetime of about 6 more WAP54G's
