Read the quick installation guide before buying: The hybrid fan mode doesn't work well when the power supply is in downward suction. If your case doesn't allow you to put the power supply with the fan up, I wouldn't recommend it! I had the same problem as Manu29. When I mounted the power supply upside down. I've reversed the block and the hybrid mode works well in IDLE. However, it still makes a bit of noise when burning. I have another Seasonic prime which doesn't have this problem.

No voltage problems, even with the controversial 12-pin cable, and the cables and connectors are well made. They are, however, very heavy compared to previous models from the brand. The 10-year warranty is appreciable. The quality is there, but so is the noise. It seems that the fan control is very poorly designed, because on its own it makes more noise than the rest of my configuration, even though there are 6 140mm fans in the case. It's not a problem on my model, it's just the way it is. And even with almost no load, it engages almost all the time, the rear hybrid mode button doesn't change a thing. This isn't my first of the brand's power supplies with this system, and the others make no noise at all up to a certain load. Otherwise, the Gold certification could have been changed to Platinum because it was validated as such, but I have no idea why they stuck with Gold. 1 star less for noise.

Small: that's what I needed in this case. Big:: in terms of power, just what I need, but also in terms of supply for the various sub-systems. If there were more SATA power cables, it would be great.

I bought this power supply for my top-of-the-range configuration, and from the first time I used it, I noticed a persistent burning smell and an electrical noise that continued even after the PC had been switched off. The power supply fan rattles on start-up and then spins faintly, which isn't very reassuring. I'm a bit worried because this could end up damaging my other components, which represent a big investment. I'm very disappointed with this product, despite its reputation, but I hope this problem is an isolated one.
