Just built the system so no experience with it over time but great price on a great PSU, came highly recommended. Semi Modular worked fine building the system, no issues with cable control, needed most of the ones I couldn't remove anyway. SO FAR SO GOOD!

I used PCPartPicker to plan out my build and tried to get parts that were both inexpensive and well reviewed. When it came to select the power supply unit, I had a multitude of options but I consistently saw the Seasonic Focus Gold 650 as well regarded. This is my first build so I've been trying to do my research on what to look for in the parts I am ordering and this device had everything I needed to run the build I planned. When it came in, I was pleasantly surprised that they thought to include a handy bag to carry my extra peripheral cables as well as zipties and velcro straps for cable management. They were put to good use. Great PSU. Highly recommend it.

WARNING: Do NOT use wires from your old PSU on your new one. Even though the connectors might look the same, they're not universal. You could fry some of your components if you do. I bought this to replace an old, B tier, bronze EVGA PSU I had. Installation was really easy - simply swap out the old PSU and cables with the new ones.

As I have come to expect from Seasonic, this is a solid PSU for a mid-range gaming build. One thing to note for anyone looking at this power supply, is that while it says it is semi-modular, this semi-modular is slightly different than others. Most other semi-modular PSU's that I have worked with in the past usually only have the 24-pin as the non-removable cable. This one has the 24-pin, the 8-pin EPS, and a 6+2 pin VGA that are non-removable. This is perfectly acceptable for the build it went into as these were the only needed cables anyway.

I bought this for a Ryzen 5 2600 combined with an MSI Radeon RX 580 with the intention of overclocking both. It's sufficient for both without any kind of extreme setup. It's very easy plug and play for conventional builds. Some users may have to be aware of the fan orientation on the power supply depending on the case airflow. It's possible that it could be mounted with the external sticker upside-down, which may not be appealing for people concerned with aesthetics. It's exactly what I needed.
