Das TomTom Rider 500 Europa ist ein beliebtes Motorrad-Navi mit gut ablesbarem, handschuhfreundlichem Display und robustem, wasserdichtem Gehäuse. Nutzer schätzen die lebenslangen Kartenupdates per Wi-Fi und die motorradspezifischen Routenoptionen. Bluetooth ermöglicht Freisprechen. Nachteile sind, dass nur Europakarten enthalten sind und Motorrad-POIs fehlen, was beim teureren 550er Modell dabei ist. Das Display ist meist gut sichtbar, kann aber bei starker Sonne spiegeln. Its solid, weather-resistant design and well thought-out features put bikers' needs first, improving safety and enhancing fun. Nice touches put it ahead of rivals from Garmin , but if you want the Bluetooth headset version expect to pay more. Gutes Navi das relativ schnell neu berechnet wenn man von der route mal abweicht. das einzigste was ich zu bemängeln habe ist, daß wenn man die Route am PC über einzelne Wegpunkte geplant hat und man nicht JEDEN Wegpunkt explizit anfährt, das Navi einen jedesmal zurück zu diesem Wegpunkt führen will. Das löschen des Wegpunktes während der Tour am Navi direkt ist sehr mühselig... Ansonsten Top Wahl...bin zufrieden

Early days for me .. but intuitive, clear and works well. I thought I was going to use the USB from my bike to power it but you can’t. Has to be wired in with the kit provided. If you are like me then you’ll be wanting to buy a separate ram mount too.. just to make the job look a lot more professional and get the screen where you need it. All a bit of a faf, but once installed it’s a great aid.

The satnav itself is good and the MyDrive route planning software does a good job with seamless transer to the device - BUT - straight out of the box the mount does not charge the thing. I've checked all the wiring and 12 volts goes in but nothing emerges from the charging pins. The forum is full of similar stories. You can run a usb into the back and charge it that way, but a new product ought to work seamlessly. They want me to send the mount to Rumania for repair but the device is then rendered unusable for the duration. I want a new replacement mount.
