Hatte von Beginn an Probleme. Speichern der Daten war zwar möglich, allerdings hatte ich nach einer Woche keine Zugriffsrechte mehr. Speicherplatten formatiert - selbes Resultat. Der WD Supportservice funktioniert zwar, allerdings ist man mit der Rücknahme und Ersatz des Geräts sehr zögerlich.

The product is good quality and looks good too. The one thing I was surprised by was that WD have changed the software functionality and it doesn't work with the app used for previous models. not a problem if you are just using this for your self but I have shared space on friends drives and wanted to do the same in return for them. this drive allows me to give them space but not to act as admin for that space. The same issue exists for family too, so I can't check what my kids are storing without their login details. This could be sorted in the software but I doubt that WD will do it. I did consider returning this for that reason but it was a good price for 12tb so I decided to keep it. In summery this drive is good but could be better (bizarrely by using older software) so make sure it is what you want before ordering.

This NAS has its own software which isn't great to use. I've stored movies and photos and can view and play them all other devices, tv mobile laptop etc. The plex server function is limited and doesn't allow you to add separate folders, e.g. family moves or other movies. So everything is mixed together.This is a big flaw which many people have noticed and are dissapointed with. Hopefully software updates will fix it.
