Lots of expansion possibilities can't hide that this is excessively priced for a machine that is only better than the stock DS1621+ in a few small areas. Save money and buy its cheaper brother instead.

Good Points: Handles graphics conversions extremely fast, Virtual Machines run in the background with very little CPU time. Runs PLEX perfectly with indexing taking seconds rather than minutes. The best NAS I have experienced yet! Improvement Points: RAM expansion is expensive if you buy Synology's own brand. Difficult to find ECC SODIMMs compatible from cheaper brands but this will be easier soon i'm sure. Overall no other issues at all!
