I purchased this a few years back and it's been great overall, too many bugs... Recently as of 8/5/19 I discovered a bug where the NAS defaults some of the settings on its own. Example: if you set both NICs with the same IP and create link aggregation for the purpose of active/backup or load balancing, it will default its password and config both NIC's to DHCP auto config. Will not buy again.

Excellent NAS...Fast, Reliable, and lot of Apps. (Avast,PLex,Kodi,Nextcloud,Wordpress, and many many more. Excellent quality. I am in love with it. Be prepare to spend some time learning. Asutor college have almost all you need to do what ever you want with this NAS.

Great product, Bought to replace a Drobo, Far superior. Was looking for faster transfer speeds and running Plex directly from server. Super fast. Easy setup, Lot of Apps. Love using as a media server. no longer need an android box fox Plex or Kodi. Can access from Pc, or Phone app. Love It.

Good general purpose NAS. However, I bought this specifically to use as a NVR for a few IP cameras. If this is your purpose for the Asustor, then look elsewhere. The information about the Asustor Surveillance Center app looks impressive. However, the software is terrible. It doesn't work at all in Chrome on a Mac. After finding a browser that it will work on, the interface is slow and incredibly unreliable. Even apps on my phone can reliably connect to my cameras, but the Asustor often fails to display the video properly or at all. Recorded video playback is also clunky and unreliable. I had high hopes for this, but I'll probably just end up using a NUC or other computer as my NVR and then doing backups to the Asustor. It also doesn't support any camera feeds over 1080p, so I've had to set my cameras to lower resolution than they are capable of so they work with Surveillance Center. 1 star for Surveillance Center. 5 stars if you're not using Surveillance Center.

Excellent storage device. I upgrade it to 16MB of RAM and its lightning fast. Apps are awesome also.
