Ultra Violet is a bright lilac, cream polish. Personally I don't like the thick cap of Salon Pro range, as I find it awkward to hold/work with. But, I like their wide, rounded brushes, as they make it easy to get around the nail in 2 easy swipes. I like the colour, but it is not very unique. I used 2 coats, thinking that I had perfect coverage, but the following day (in bright daylight), I spotted a couple of balding patche. So, I think 3 coats is best for this one. All in all, it is not something to rave about, but it is not bad.

Comparing this to Dior Gel Top Coat, Rimmel Salon Pro wins hands down. Very lasting, very affordable. I will stick to this, rather than shelve our big bucks on Dior which chip big time on me after one day - whilst on holiday!

I have this in the shade Aqua Cool, which I got heavily discounted as I think it is now discontinued (it's also not part of the Kate Moss range of these- it just says Salon Pro on the bottle). It's a gorgeous creamy cornflower blue. Three days after application (with essence top sealer on the top) I have a minor amount of tip wear or shrinkage but no chips, which is a miracle for me (especially as it was only on my right hand and I'm right handed and very clumsy). It has a lovely formula which was opaque in 2 coats plus the brush is amazing. The lid makes it a bit awkward when you're applying it though.

This is a clear nail polish that is easy to apply and lasts really well on my nails. It is also pretty cheap. Great buy.

I wanted a sheer nude nail polish so I thought this might work. Well, I would have to advise against this. It went on streaky even after the 2nd coat. I just wanted a wash of color. I didn't want an opaque color. Even after a quick dry top coat I got a ding within a hour. I think this may be due to the Lycra in the formula. It makes the polish feel 'springy' on the nail- squishy, even? I think this contributed to the polish being easily dinged and marked even with normal use. I am going to keep looking for a better formula nude polish. This polish is "OK"-for what it cost- a couple of dollars. It certainly didn't last a day for me before it looked worse for wear. But maybe I'm just rough on my nails, who knows? However, I would not recommend this polish as I am sure there is better, yet affordable, polishes out there.
