Gigabyte Z790 AORUS MASTER Motherboard

3 or 4 months old now. 1 month in the Lan Controller failed, no longer recognized by anything. Yesterday cpu failed and won't restart, could be a separate issue though. The customer support for the Lan Controller was an issue, the gigabyte control centre is poor and only works sometimes, thus updates can fail or not work at all. Hitting the bios reset is a fairly regular thing. Z790 is quality, however I'd probably go with Asus at this point. Could be just a lemon but who knows. They're all made in China these days. Other than those issues it's a fast and great for gaming. If any one asked me know, I'd say Asus or MSI product, and get the extra warranty replacement. I have to give a 3 star because of the issues I have had.

The Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master is an impressive Z790 motherboard that delivers epic performance however it benefits from some care and attention. The Auto BIOS profile works well but draws higher levels of Vcore and CPU power than we like to see. By contrast the Maximum Performance and Instant 6GHz profiles are problematic and best left on one side.

Overall, the Aorus Master is a good-looking option in the$500 Z790 price ranget. You get an incredible 14 USB ports on the rear IO, solid power delivery, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 socket, a 10 GbE port and Killer-based Wi-Fi 6E. It also performs well against its peers, but there are no USB 4 ports, and you don’t get the latest audio codec.
