Awesome motherboard with all the io you could ever want

Works well with a Ryzen 7 9800 X3D and 64gb of RAM. The motherboard diagnostics LED's were helpful with figuring out a RAM configuration that would get it to boot. Then in Windows, it took a few attempts at different drivers (downloaded via phone and transferred via USB) before the bluetooth and wifi worked. It's run flawlessly since then.

Unter Linux funktioniert Suspend (Standby) nicht. Dies scheint bei Gigabyte-Mainboard ein häufiges Problem zu sein und interessiere Gigabyte laut Internetbeiträgen nicht. Sie unterstützten kein Linux. Das Problem ist, dass der Rechner direkt wieder aufwacht. Hibernate scheint zu gehen.

Good motherboard it seems, no coil whine present for my example. VRM temps stay low at very high workload. I do not like the Gigabyte bios menu but that is my preference. The only real gripe I have is that the MB seems to have very limited RAM compatibility. You can check the compatibility chart on the manufacturer website or just bite the bullet and buy a Trident Z Neo 6000mhz kit. CL30 6000mhz worked for me. USE 1 STICK IN PROPER SLOT TO BOOT OR YOU WILL GET BLACK SCREEN AND CPU DEBUG LIGHT! After boot, turn off and add another stick of ram. Buildzoid does not recommend more than 2 sticks for AM5 platform so go high capacity as you want with 2 sticks of RAM. Check “actually hardcore overclocking” on youtube for more info. PS stop complaining about coil whine - it’s a lottery and can be present on any motherboard.

It’s a great board that has all the features you’d need. Great to last years, and likely more than capable of doing fine with a future CPU upgrade as AM5 progresses..
