Great screen, a little friendlier for non-game apps than full 4K. It will take a standard VESA 100mm mount but you need to remove the plastic ring hiding the screws at the back. It's not difficult but a little challenging if you don't know about it. There are several YouTube videos on the subject. One suggests you could do it with your fingernails, but I would recommend a screwdriver!

as my last monitor (this ones predecessor) met an untimely demise i went to get another exact model to find, no longer being made and this is model is the "newer" version, i do miss the stand from the old monitor as it looked better but this one will do, looks good and works well but you are ultimately paying for the "rog" branding, would recommend to people with "money to burn" otherwise you could get a similar spec'd monitor for less

With a few tweaks in the OSD, the Asus ROG Strix XG27AQ delivers a superb image with one of the best dynamic contrast features we’ve seen. It delivers in-game too with a reliable 170 Hz, Adaptive-Sync and ELMB blur reduction. It also delivers solid HDR, all at a reasonable price.

It has a low input lag, and it supports VRR to reduce screen tearing. It also comes with extra features that gamers should appreciate, including on-screen gaming overlays and a Shadow Boost feature that improves visibility in dark scenes.
